Here’s a short graphic narrative by Jonathan Jarvis that is absolutely amazing. He uses motion design to help visualize the cause of the current credit crisis. The design and animation is beautiful, and the explanation is extremely easy to follow. Check it out. This, in my opinion, is the epitome of using motion design to best communicate an idea.
Incredibly genius idea.UPDATE: It seems this idea is actually originated by Takeshi Murata, but Nabil took it a step further. Still an amazing piece of work.
The video uses compression errors commonly seen in digital videos as a style. One of the more creative ideas I’ve seen…ever. Makes you wish you would’ve thought of it. Wow.
General Elektriks – Take back the instant
dir – ??? (I think. Correct me if I’m wrong)
Not sure who directed this piece, but I like it. It has a really cool 70s/80s hand drawn feel to it which I’m digging.
And as for the lack of updates last week, I’ve been super busy working on getting my new demo reel together. I’ll probably be posting some tests and rough cuts up here in the next day or two.

I’m going to start posting up media that I find in my travels across the interwebs that really inspires me. This video being one of said inspirational nuggets. Really cool concept and great execution. Definitely one of the best videos I’ve seen in a LONG, long time.
