A quick note
My dear friend (and ex-girlfriend of a little over a decade past) Shanelle just found out I have a blog and told me that it completes her view of me and I’m now Barney Stinson-esque. How fucking cool is that shit?

SO…Originally I was supposed to have my last day of work last Friday, but a last minute job came through, and I landed my first freelance gig…with the same company that layed me off lol. I’ve just finished working on a suicide project (any broadcast project with less than 2 days turnaround) and I think it turned out pretty good. I’ll post it up here when I get a chance.
Yeah, lame update I know, but I’m trying to get into the habbit of writing on this bitch. Unfortunatly I don’t have a whole lot to say currently. Just trying to get all my shit in order so I can hit the ground running when I start looking for real new freelance gigs. (and by shit I mean updated resume, demo reel, list of target studios, and my portfolio site updated)

Not sure what genre this falls under, but I fucking love it. A little bit anime, a little bit side scroller, and a little bit badass.
A lot of my friends from D.C. talk a lot of shit about visiting me here in L.A. I’ve been here since March 5th, 2008 and none have made good on that promise until this past weekend when my friend Tricia from D.C. came to SoCal with her roomate Roxie to visit their friend Steve in San Diego for a week (whew). The following Friday they all drove up from Steve’s place in S.D. to spend the weekend in L.A. I had myself my first visitor and lots of fun ensued. There was yelling, screaming, drinking, a dude with a Magnum P.I. stache, faux boob grabs, and I was even able to spread the joy of drunk jenga to new people! Flickr gallery after the break!

Stumbled across this gem today. Go forth and be inspired.
As of this coming Friday (Jan 23, 2009) I will be officially unemployed. The recession finally caught up with me, coincidentally right after Obama was sworn in just yesterday and spoke of economic tough times ahead. Ah foreshadowing…she is an evil bitch.

I’m going to start posting up media that I find in my travels across the interwebs that really inspires me. This video being one of said inspirational nuggets. Really cool concept and great execution. Definitely one of the best videos I’ve seen in a LONG, long time.
I think I’ve finally got the look and feel of this blog down. Of course there will be minor tweaks here and there as I go, but for the most part, it’s finally post ready. More musings to come. This is a test link so I can make sure it looks good. I posted a flicker photostream after the break as a test as well.
So I finally got around to getting this hunkering beast back up and running. Going to take some more time to set it up just right. Hopefully within the next couple of days it’ll be at 100% again.
